Black Banana

Happy Tuesday friends! I'm so glad to tackle another week with you and share more poetry from the book. If you're working on the poem-a-day for April (national poetry month) I hope that's been coming along well. I'm a few days behind myself, but overall it's been a fruitful month of writing, and I'm gearing up for some more contest/journal submissions! Today's preview comes from one of my personal favorites, Black Banana, which tells a story of the internal and psychological effects of social injustice. Hope you enjoy this glorious spring weather, and see you Friday for the first post in my Free Thinking Friday series. :)

This is what the dirty parts of me feel to society:wasted space on the counter—unsalvageable.- Black Banana
